But that's missing my point. Google has a product that rivals/competes with GPT and it functions just as you say. I am not at all talking about Google.com as a search but their own AI/LLM product called Gemini.

Gemini - Google

This product is then being embedded into Android phones currently giving it broader reach eventually than GPT can hope for given Android is also owned/supported by Google.
