I get a call while I am in the outback - from a random guy

who knows some young lads are are slightly lost
Seems they can not find the route or trail (That I put in 30 years ago)
The trail or route is marked on multiple sites.
Then rescue gets a call - parents - 911 - I have no clue

Then I get to tell rescue where I suspect the lost folks are and rescue gets to decide if my directions are good enough or do I get a free ride out of the outback

They went with the directions.

Very entertaining all the back and forth, but the results were seamless.

and I was in the one spot in a neighbouring drainage that had reception - it was too hot for hiking but I needed a break from house stuff so was out checking on trail heads and activity.

back to the - yawn - house stuff and stock stuff tomorrow.
