Yes, I'm well aware. He's long dead and still a disgrace, imo. Not only did he gamble away his life savings on a single penny stock, he did so knowing his wife had early onset dementia. He had the worst combination of stupidity, arrogance, and pretension which is dangerous enough in any endeavor but almost always a recipe for disaster in Canuckistani mining turds! I actually tried to warn him about the stock having had some prior experience in it a few years earlier but he knew better. Worse yet, the Kool-Aid he drank was so strong he counted his chickens before they hatched. He bought some fancy fast Cadillac wagon he couldn't reasonably afford and, I kid you not, his custom license plate was the ticker of the penny stock he piled his life savings into... CPFXF. All the while his politics were wacky left, he hated rich people and success so he sought to remedy that by gambling it all away on a single Canadian penny stock. The joke was on him but I pity what he did to his senile wife and children. Of course he generally blamed everyone but himself on the inevitable ride down and collapse. The fool and his money were parted. This is what fascinates me about cautionary tales like Metacomet's. It's not about the lies he tells others but the lies he tells himself and the self-delusion involved. I see elements of that in how Fiscally Conservative is conducting himself in his years long losing position in GLBS. The mind is a terrible thing to taste. Message 35216696
