Black Widows … It’s just another example of the Russian mentality which only those who grew up in this totalitarian environment can understand. Many moons ago I went to Russia on a business trip actually sponsored by the Canadian government (Chamber of Commerce) which can easily be summed up like this: Most Russians I met were delightful, fun and booze loving people. Official meetings were very professional and promising. Not so “professional” during after hour meetings / discussions which eventually always culminated in convoluted “off book” arrangements. Glad I didn’t have to pay for the trip which must have cost a small fortune given the “royal” treatment we received.. Mind you, I don’t know wo paid for it. Russia or Canada.?

PS: I went on a very similar trip to China shortly after the Russian trip. Essentially no difference. Corruption is irreversible embedded in totalitarian regimes. So, who can blame the “Black Widdows”? They just follow the “script”.

PPS: Trump is moving in the same direction. Armed soldiers on American streets, forced equity stakes in public companies, elimination of all "non-cooperating" officials and the list goes on.

How much will it take for the American public to realize that another totalitarian regime is in the making?
