“We spend no money on Ukraine anymore,” Trump says. He says the U.S. was getting “fleeced” and that he faults the Biden administration, not Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky.

Trump he said they haven’t “even discussed the specifics” of the security guarantee for Ukraine as he pushes to end the war Russia started by invading.

Trump said he had spoken to Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, since the day European leaders were at the White House. He doesn’t say what they discussed.

Asked about why Putin doesn’t seem to want to meet with Zelensky, Trump says Putin “doesn’t like him.” Trump says he too has people he doesn’t like and then doesn’t want to meet with, before adding that even in that case sometimes he likes meeting with the disliked.
