Google's Self-Driving Car Business This sounds to me like a lousy business. Sell software / ads = great business. Pure profit after the R&D is ready to go. Sell the same thing over and over and over and then again. Self driving cars = horrible business. Cars break down. Competition with Uber and Lyft prevent price increases. Why in the world would a software company want to go into a (massive and new) hardware business?
