Lytton is the spot where Canada's all time record high of 51C was established during the heat dome in 2021. Are you in Phoenix? I just saw brief coverage of an interesting day yesterday in Arizona. A line of thunderstorms created a dust storm while dropping the temperature 50F in 30 minutes. I didn't quite pick up the name of this phenomenon, but it was five letters long and ended in 'oo'. Anyone know? And I should correct something I posted earlier. We currently have 70 fires burning in BC and seven are out of control, albeit with just a few evacuation alerts and no orders in place, overall about as benign as it gets this time of year these days.
