Charging deserts are going away. It’s now possible to embark on a Great American Road Trip in an electric vehicle.

Basically the WSJ guy rented a Rivian (not a Cybertruck, mind you) and drove up and down the Californian countryside. He charged 10 times during his entire 1,600 mile round trip.

One problem, though. He paid about as much for electricity on this trip as he would have paid for gas in a comparable gas-powered SUV. We Californians really have to do something about the high price of electricity, because it's quite embarrassing for a state that gets so much solar power.
