Thanks to El Kabong for cluing me in on haboob, which from now will be added to my repertoire when playing scrabble. That must have been amazing to watch in person. Videos cannot convey the reality of that type of phenomenon. Meanwhile, several dozen more heat records toppled across BC yesterday, not fun when combined with unusually (for us) high humidity. Fortunately it looks like the heat will slowly dissipate over the coming days. LC
