What I meant was that the only reason the price is higher is because of the press releases and the Street.com mention generating a speculative frenzy. Without them, the price would be back at .20.

I am not so sure. By judging on the actual state of NETZ, all considerations taken into account, NETZ can easily support $1. Keep in mind that price action since Aug. '97 has been over a holding company that basically just had Echomedia. At that point I felt that .20 - .50 was realistic. But now NETZ has shown (IMO some of) their true power by obtaining a controlling interest in Softbank (SIM). That, if anything, shows how serious the people in and behind NETZ really is. I sincerely feel that there is a lot more to NETZ that just some recent press by blindsided journalists.

I would very much like to hear why you feel it is ok to brush all that aside? Is financials everything? I know it is important and a key to a sustainable multi dollar share price, but everything?

Btw, I respect your sceptisicm but I feel that you are not entirely informed as to NETZ actual position.

You have to wonder: in a world where money-losing internet start-ups have sky-high prices, why is NETZ so low? The answer: The company is not releasing enough hard info for investors to make informed choices.

Yes it does give food for thought. But it is not that strange really. The main reason, IMO, that we see this price for NETZ is its origin. Using a shell to start a company up is cheaper and faster than an IPO. Also, you don't need to (didn't use to have to) present financials. I really doubt that financials of NETZ would have been useful even if they were posted. The last 10[K/Q] would not include Softbank f x, so how useful could it have been? NETZ has simply been moving too fast for financials to make any sense.

Financials is very important, make no mistake. But I still feel we're inside the envelope with the current price.

If I ran NETZ, rather than just churn out hype, I'd put out a full report with balance sheet and income statement, even if the SEC didn't require me to yet. Without those facts, the press releases smack of snake-oil charlatanism. Honesty is the best policy, and NETZ would be even higher if management were more forthcoming.

You just, like, lost a whole lot of respect with that statement... If you ran NETZ..., well you don't, and I am fairly sure that you couldn't. I am deeply convinced that NETZ would not stand a snowballs chance in hell if I ran NETZ. Get off that horse, and fast!

The recent press releases does have a slight top spin to them. Personally I would have wanted something more cool and substantial but they are 'in line' as far as I an concerned. And to be honest, we dont' need to look very far to find material of that caliber from, say, MSFT now do we?

The financials will come when they are done and possibly at a strategic point in time. It will happen. Relax.

All NETZ shareholders should pressure management to put out such a report ASAP.

Rest assured: better people than you or I am going after NETZ with torches (virtually) to get those financials.
