It's a pretty small area. Probably not much bigger than a 787 window. Gentex showed a 'black' ec roof at CES. Maybe with the intermediate state switching speed is low single digit minutes. At least the industry is trying things other than PDLC:( ...This is a big miss and the first use of true EC outside of China since the Superamerica era. I think Speed matters, I don't like EC mirrors, but I don't like a lot of things and I've been wrong for a long time about SPD. When Gauzy came in, High Temp PDLC was just emerging and EC was not functional for profit.Meanwhile we've seen a lot of usage of 'smart glass' in the world. Can Gauzy come up with a value prop that works. Black SPD, and integrated lam stack. All the tech has improved in the last bunch of years.
