The futures are red this morning. This reminds me of something I read in a book by Marty Zweig, maybe around the year 2000. He shared an observation that when markets are positive on the day prior to a national holiday, that is a good sign. But, if the markets are negative - short them. It’s a serious bearish signal.

I’m paraphrasing, of course - couldn't quote it verbatim from memory.

Anyway, looks like the futures are recovering. We shall see. But, historically, September is the least bullish month of the year. Enough reason, imho, not to go overboard on the bullish side.
