Seamans mentioned the G.lite version before he left and Westell had T1E1.4 G.Lite contributions before the consortium made their announcement. The standard isn't going to be ready before the end of 1998. The present Amati modem uses the LSI chipset and until the MOT/TI silicon solutions are ready Westell is behind schedule.

I'm not sure about BT, but BA and GTE are going to deploy in the coming months.

A new manunfacturing plant that can't build them cost effectively?

I'm not sure what you are talking about here. The Westell/LU SLC product wasn't going to be ready until 4Q98. Lucent is going to resell the Westell DSLAM device, cards, Mux cards, etc. How does this change Lucent reselling the Westell DSLAM product? When Westell has customers for it's present solution, why retool your product line for a non-existing MOT/TI solution?
