Clothing retail. Agree that it's often a cyclical business. (Maybe not Ralph Lauren( RL). Growth stock? Taylor Swift further helps.) Fashion is cyclical. And also retail stores are subject to economic vagaries and merchandise and business mismanagement.

Thus my opinion: Why should an investor spend time to discern whether the particular business is "larger and earning more a decade from now", when what seems important is when in the cycle you determine to enter and then when you leave?

I hold tracking positions in the three stocks mentioned.
