I think it will be able to help in the medial records analysis. The question there becomes how is it integrated into the practitioner workflow? Outside of that I am sure in the development of medicine/drugs it will for sure help but regulation will probably be the delay here. Even if AI can help synthesize information faster the clinical trials and regulations will still be a barrier.

As for AI and obesity, there has been a majority cure for that for a long, long time. Don't think one needs AI to tell someone to eat less and do more. That said I recall writing to Paul S here a bit ago that the GLP-1/ Semaglutide craze was still too new and we haven't seen the side effects yet - I think this was regarding the decline in snack foods and soda. Here we are a bit later and lawsuits are coming in.

If medical costs are to be lowered it will be seen in improving margins for healthcare providers and not felt by patients. Insurance programs are a bigger issue to patient costs than medical care itself IMO.

I am unsure where the biggest impact will be. AI has been a player in the medical field for a long, long time. Maybe elsewhere? Maybe the ROI is never what we expect it to be given the billions put in? Time will tell.

Happy investing,

-Sean
