My guess is thermally stable dye in the lc. I think it heralds the ending of white pdlc in the roof. They talk about privacy on side windows because I assume it scatters just like all pdlc with some performance issue It’s a very sad day when I find myself hoping the corvette is trying this and not gentex entry into roofs
