Eastern Pacific hurricane Lorena is expected to blow itself apart after making landfall in northern Baja. However, the residual storm moisture will make its way into the southwest deserts of the US and possibly bring extensive flooding with it. Arizona, New Mexico and Texas have cautionary flash flood warnings in effect posted well in advance of the expected storm arrival.
