Ligand's future holds moves of 400% or better in far less than 1 year, but you gotta be there. Trading in and out now will almost guarantee that you miss most of it. Sad story on SMTG. They lost Lilly as a partner about a year ago and crashed. The Baxter buyout is at a very deep discount to what the company's expectations were before their deal collapsed. Almost by chance, I had sold out while it was still in double digits. I would have been very bitter if I hadn't been so lucky. It might have caused me to find the thread of a promising biotech and spend the next year harassing the crap out of everyone posting there and predicting down trends every trading day until no one could stand to read my posts anymore. Given the biotech corrections that have occurred, there might have been people on that thread who mistakenly thought I knew something about the stock.(:->)
