The Asch conformity experiments illustrate why trading can be so challenging: people often yield to group pressure, even when it contradicts their own judgment.

This same dynamic explains why utilities aren't yet panicking into signing contracts—they're conforming to the prevailing calm. It also sheds light on politics and the "doubling down" phenomenon, where individuals cling to flawed beliefs amid social influence; similar patterns appear in medicine.

That's why I sometimes comment on this thread that "I'm trading against myself"—battling my own susceptibility to conformity.

The confederate in this experiment is why we on this thread still hang around when there are obviously much better uranium people elsewhere .

Jus' sayin'
