Seeking Alpha Email: The Consumer Price Index arrives on Thursday. Economists predict the core CPI, ex food and energy, rose 0.3% on the month, with the annual rate staying at 3.1%. A cool CPI report could boost the odds that the FOMC cuts rates by 50 basis points on Sept. 17. The Producer Price Index hits Wednesday, while the University of Michigan releases its preliminary measure of September consumer sentiment on Friday.
