Armani passed away last week. In the 80's when I was big into fashion, I had a primo outfit that featured a linen blazer and linen pants I bought in Florence, Italy (I had to undress in full sight of everyone to try on the pants in the store, and they acted like that was no big deal); a tie I bought in Paris, and an Armani shirt along with socks I bought on Rodeo Drive. My shoes were custom made in Hong Kong from my design. This stuff cost more than the cars our kids drive today.

Anyway, the Armani shirt is what made everything work.

30-years later, TJ needed a white shirt for a jazz performance in high school, and that Armani shirt was still hanging in my closet. This vintage piece of iconography was part of his dress ensemble most of the time during high school jazz performances. It was that iconic, that classic, and great quality.

Armani is the man, and he will be missed.
