One of my sales managers back in the day used to be a sales rep for many companies.

One of the national lines he used to sell was Windshield Washer Solvent. The industry term for it was "Blue Water."

I have mentioned this in the past, but there is rampant cheating on Windshield Washer Solvent in the market during cold weather seasons.

You can save boatloads of money by selling Winter Mix, but not putting the requisite Ethylene Glycol to keep it from freezing in the mix. Dollar stores, gas stations, and other non-national chains are the main culprits selling this stuff.

You won't see cheating in product sold in Walmarts or Targets, for example.

If you do live in a cold weather area, make sure you buy your "Blue Water" from a very large, national retailer who doesn't buy product that has been cheated of winter alcohol to keep it from freezing.
