$3,000-per-book settlement

I'm not sure what's fair or what's left after the lawyers take their cut, but that's not a bad supplemental royalty for the median book. Many authors will feel insulted that their work wasn't among the 465,000. Very few authors will opt out of the class and pursue their own individual actions.
