Meanwhile, Ukraine has named their newest long-range cruise missile the "Flamingo" because some early prototypes were painted pink by mistake. (To be sure, [10]]Wikipedia has some conflicting reports about the origin of the name "Flamingo," but whatever.) Imagine if one of Hegseth's subordinates reported to him that the newest weapon in the U.S. military's arsenal was named after a pink bird.
