The difference between 14A and 18A is that 14A uses the latest version of High NA EUV whereas 18A uses 1st gen EUV that's been proven and yielding well at TSMC.

It might well be only a matter of time but Intel is still perfecting their 18A processes and needs someone to pay the way for the leading edge R&D required on the latest and greatest. SK Hynix is the only one currently using High Na EUV and Samsung is just starting with it for their 2nm GAA processes.

This is the real issue with 14A. When will it's timing be right?

ps I suspect memory is much less of an issue with High NA but you'd certainly know more about this than me.
