Initial Jobless Claims numbers are going to be bad the next several weeks as the manufacturing slump combines with the DOGE cuts kicking in this month. Lots of DOGE cuts had severance lasting into the end of September. These folks can file unemployment claims in October, and it's hundreds of thousands of people.
