My wife is still training on human trafficking while she ramps up in her work to help victims of trafficking. One thing that is common in this "trade" is people tattoo people that they force to work for them in the sex trade. Tattoos include bar codes, gang symbols, and terms like Slut and Whore. It's a type of branding that announces to competitors what is yours. It also makes the person with the tattoo not forget that either. 25% of the people my wife deals with have bar codes tattooed on their neck. That's some sick crap.
