Bill, as a thought experiment, I was wondering under what circumstances I would be celebrating someone's assassination.

PooTin, for example, I would celebrate. Same with Lil' Kim.

Trump? As much as I think he's a complete and utter asshole who is ruining lives, I would not celebrate his assassination. He was indeed duly elected. He still enjoys the support of 40% of Americans. Killing him would be an attack on that 40%, not to mention an attack on our democratic institutions. Just because he's trying to dismantle these institutions doesn't means we should give him a helping hand.

I guess my point is that there is a line, a thin line, between a "deserved" death and a condemnable death.

And Charlie Kirk is nowhere near that line, from my POV.
