there is a line, a thin line, between a "deserved" death and a condemnable death.

If you zoom in on it, that thin line is actually a third category:

"unfortunate"

Charlie spoke about gun deaths as being neither "deserved" nor "condemnable", but rather as the "unfortunate" price we have to pay for the second amendment.

He said those gun deaths are "worth it."

He also instructed his followers that empathy is a "woke" waste of time.

If anyone wants to honor Charlie by adhering to his messages, they can do so by avoiding empathy (don't feel sorry for his demise), and knowing his death was "worth it", in his own words.
