No. Objectively, these people have not shown themselves to be worthy of their positions.

As to who is "smarter", you cannot reasonably pose that question to academics who are objectively some of the worst dumbasses in the country.

Academics is for the intellectual lazy. The people on the front lines are the true intellectuals. You're not going to find many of them at Harvard or Berkeley.
