If you want a potential multibagger, try small cap AI & Robotics play Kraken Robotics. Here is a post I made on Seeking Alpha.
Swim, Squid, Swim!
The company is a leader within the synthetic aperture sonar (SAS) market; they work on underwater imaging tech as well as subsea batteries to transform subsea intelligence and how we use it. The company just announced $13M in orders for its SAS and subsea batteries from customers in the U.S.. Norway and Turkey, one of which includes 10 SAS orders for one customer. The stock closed almost 5% higher on the news on Wednesday, bringing its six-month rally to 72%.
This doesn’t feel like a one-time deal for Kraken, and it’s not.
Back in May, the company received several orders worth $3M for its miniature SAS systems from three customers for two things: man-portable SAS and MINAS 120 systems. The use case of this order in particular was to start substituting robots for navy divers in countermeasure mine missions underwater; in response to the growing demand, which we can see via this second order that’s quadruple the size of the one from May, Reid noted that the company is increasing its inventory to “more quickly respond to this need, enabling navies worldwide to collect critical data for accurate and efficient decision-making.
"Prior to the May deal, the company announced an $11M order for subsea batteries in April, most of which was towards defense use. The higher frequency of multi-million orders spells momentum behind these orders. Reid expects to sign at least one additional new customer by the year’s end.
And now we have the Anduril Ghost Shark news, with dozens of millions in batteries implied. And another 20% rise in share price, giving me an 11 bagger in 4 years. |
