There is a saying that "All politics is local." Well, there should be another one: "All energy is local."

Most people on this planet think people should be going solar, battery electric, wind, or other sustainable energy source.

What most miss is that like politics, all energy is local. If your cost for NatGas is $24 per thousand cubic feet, it makes sense to use wind, battery electric, and solar rather than fossil fuels.

If you cost for NatGas is $3.00 per thousand cubic feet, those historically "alternative" energy sources make little economic sense, particularly without subsidies.

In Asia, NatGas runs about 6-times or more what it does in the US. This chasm will be narrowed as more US LNG terminals are brought into service the next 10-years. However, it will be a slow process.

In the EU and UK, the North Sea is running out of oil. NatGas from Russia is not reliable due to war. New sources from Libya and the Middle East are not real reliable. Wind, Solar, and battery electric are great options for these areas.

One solution does not fit all, and that's something that is largely missed.

China has very little oil and NatGas, so solar, wind, hydro, and nuclear make tons of sense for them.

The same does not apply to the US, and that's what lots of people have been missing, IMO.
