Jeff Currie liked to say that there are only two types of commodities: easy to store but hard to move, and hard to store but easy to move. Gas and electricity are easy to move and hard to store. Coal and oil are easy to store but hard to move. Solar can be seen as solving the problem with electricity in movement and storage become hybrid.
