This article is a perfect example of not understanding historical context, and trying to apply reasoning that is hundreds of years old to modern day.

The Founders never intended to create an unregulated individual right to a gun.
Oh yes, yes they did intend to create unregulated individual right to not just a gun but all arms.

They saw it as necessary to the security of the state.

They even passed laws requiring ownership of a gun.
