Howard, My background is at the molecular level, not finance, so I don't give financial advice. I have recommended LGND as a long term play based upon their underlying technology. Occasionally when the price is ridiculously low, I say so.

LGND has generated an oscillating pattern in the past few years and those that can time the highs and lows will make more money short term. However, that is out of my area and have no comment other to say that I expect LGND's price to take off sooner or later. I actually expected such a move to be fueled by the LLY deal and ALRT buy back. However, there was a fair amount of selling on news by those who were still timing LGND and it did cause a pullback to under $11, which I characterized as an excellent buying opportunity.

When LGND oscillates, the timers look like they know what they are doing (especially when they post after the fact), but I still expect LGND to come close to the long term projections by analysts, which would put LGND's price around $50 in a few years and into triple digits shortly thereafter, which of course would be missed by short term timers.
