That's the problem w/ any of these 'fixed' formulas. If your assumptions are incorrect, then the valuation number is irrelevant. I did the same calculation for AMAT. We looked at this one using various metrics and arrived at the conclusion it is undervalued.

Applied Materials Inc (AMAT) DCF Valuation Going back to this Web site, they conclude AMAT is +40% undervalued.

Compare that to Lam Research Corp (LRCX) DCF Valuation which is only +6% undervalued. But LRCX got the upgrade earlier this week.

-----------------------------------------------------

When we looked at AMAT, we viewed several value metrics which is the way I prefer. Even their F-Score was good.

My highest cost shares from AMAT bought 2/14/2025 finally went in the green +2% now. Seeing that the DCF analysis says it is still +40% undervalued, will not sell this lot until we trade at/above $204/share
