It's my belief that Kimmel will be brought back on the air, perhaps it will be a week or two, maybe even longer if they wait for an affiliate network to complete its buyout. I believe that when he returns to the air his ratings will go through the roof.
I would hope that by the time Colbert is supposed to go off someone else picks him up, or CBS rethinks the way they've allowed themselves to be badgered and rehires him.
It's sad to see the collapse of so many under Trump and the threat of agencies doing his agenda. While he's lost most cases he's taken to court, the fear that he's creating have companies settling cases that clearly would be won in court. In many ways it's like insurance settling nuisance suits rather than fighting them. I've know people who's livelihood was filing nuisance suits, they lived pretty well.
In Trumps case, I believe he's thinking every dollar he brings in is less debt that he's going to be blamed for, be it tariffs, suits, etc, the money either goes to the treasury, or he finds a way to funnel it to him. I gather that the UAE will be getting the fastest chips, which he can control as President, after they put $2 billion into his crypto family business, which he says is run by his kids. In the life of our country, no prior President has put as much into his own pocket because of the Emoluments Clause, but he completely ignores it with family run businesses and his Presidential Library.
t hope Nexstar gets their merger quickly, and Kimmel returns, if not, I believe the public should pressure ABC to bring Kimmel back. In general I often watch ABC news, it bothered me that they seemed not to be discussing Kimmel at all, while the other networks were.
