Corvette's Most Desired Feature is Still Impossible to Get

Chevrolet has once again officially placed the electrochromic roof under a production constraint for the September 2025 order cycle, which means very few dealers are receiving allocations that allow the option to be ordered. For Corvette buyers, the “C word” is the last thing they want to hear. A constraint means you can configure the car of your dreams, tick the roof option box, and still have almost no chance of it actually getting built. Some dealers have reported not a single allocation available for the electrochromic roof, while others say they might get one car equipped with it if they are lucky.

...

The Corvette electrochromic roof is the kind of option that makes people fall in love with cars all over again. It is futuristic without being gimmicky, functional without losing the classic Corvette spirit, and stylish in a way that sets it apart from anything else in its price bracket. Yet for now, thanks to Chevrolet’s production constraints, it is a dream feature that most buyers simply cannot have.

Hmmmm. Last email I sent to Joe regarding if Gentex could be supplying the Corvette EC roof went unanswered.
