very good friend's daughter was engaged to a Mexican immigrant(undocumented as they say) who ran was part of an ongoing insurance c=scam for years. They could also supply a complete set of false docs for $500DL, etc.). I think RealID put a stop to that.

The insurance scam worked like this:

A buys a new Caddy and insures it in Dallas
B drives it across the border overnight
A claims it was stolen

Worked like a charm. He never had a real job and they lived well. His main job was finding people willing to buy the car.
