There were a lot of influencers and followers jumping the gun sort of speak. They claimed there must've been a conspiracy because the rifle's ownership hadn't been ID'd and he mentioned in his chat a "drop point" for the rifle. The rifle turned to be his grandfather's. The "drop point" was just his own term that showed a lack of knowledge about conspiracies. The real term for a predetermined spot where there's a transfer of material or communications to a spy from a handler is called a dead drop. In this case, TR followed up on this by asking his roommate to pick up the rifle, not as a precursor to the crime as would occur in a murder plot.
