The "disbarment on the spot" was hyperbolic, but given the tone of that piece from the judge I was expecting a dismissal with prejudice, at least. I don't know how disbarment proceedings start, but they seemed deserved.

Sounds like you're saying even 40 pages is unusually long and excessive. That's the stuff that should be argued in the trial.
