Hi Sam,

I did some research and it seems the only way to turn off Efficiency Mode is process-by-process (Google, Firefox, etc) in Task manager. And even then, you need to turn off Efficiency Mode every time the process restarts. Some have tried to mess with their registry but I do not recommend this and those who have tried got mixed results.

Microsoft introduced Efficiency Mode to help lower power and extend battery life in notebooks but admit it can throttle performance of some processes like browsers.

I found this article you may find interesting. I cannot vouch for what they say as I have been on the Apple platform for years and have never tried this:
