In May of 2000 our oldest son, Mike, was diagnosed with glioblastoma as most of you know. He lived and lived full speed with his wife and 5 kids ages 11-18. Last summer the tumor progressed and he had another surgery and radiation but this time different results. He passed away yesterday. He was an exceptional kid and man. The saddest part of the last year is his losing his vocabulary day by day until he only had 2 words left at his verbal disposal. Pretty tough for a guy who could read at 3 years old. He was the one that got me into IMMU. Between getting his areospace engineering degree and starting med school, he spent a year with us at Boise State taking some life science classes and working at the VA hospital in research. They were studying LeukoScan and the doctors doing the trials were impressed with what they were seeing and some were buying the stock, this was in 1993, he told me about it and I bought a few shares and then asked him what the heck antibodies were and he explained a lot to me and thus began my IMMU journey.
