My wife sometimes is outnumbered 6:1 at work with people just off the streets. Tonight I asked her to show me how she makes a fist.

Epic fail.

I had to show her how to make a fist, how to make herself big (she's 6'3" tall), how to scan a room for defensive items (seat cushions, etc), and how to scan a room for weapons (cords, charger cords, anything glass or ceramic that can cut a throat, anything with heft that can be a blunt object, etc.).

I've asked Gladiator Daughter to school her on this stuff. She would be so easy to kill without this training.

I've also had to school my wife on how to talk smack about how she put people in the hospital when she played ball, and how she'd have no problem doing it again.

I told her she just has to pick a character and inhabit that personality to get out of the situation.

I can't believe I have to do this, but she's never been in a fight in her life.
