Philippines democracy was taken down 20 years ago Wasn't much of a democracy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_history_of_the_Philippines A corruptocracy got worse. Maybe that's us, too, but I'd like to think we have a somewhat stronger system. If we lose it, it'll be a bigger fall.
