I haven't been there for many years, but I was once told how hot blooded they were about their politics and each time I was there, someone with political authority somewhere was killed. Could be a mayor of some tiny town, but it was common. People of influence would go out surrounded by multiple guard carrying machine guns. That was probably about 50 years ago, but it's probably the same today. I don't want to see people in the streets carrying weapons who aren't our police, and that included military who aren't police.
