so, with the U.S. having the largest military budget at their disposal, the shooting of a few Venezuelan banana boats with F35s to protect our street druggies gives us a strategic advantage off the coast of South America?

You may dismiss NATO article 4.. maybe article 5 will 'accidentally' come into play with Russia's encroaching war games. There is a genuine concern of Putin's pushing his luck beyond Ukraine. Just advising you of the recent additions of Sweden & Finland into NATO. Whatever for?

Poland recently went over a $1trillion economy. I spent 4weeks in Warsaw two months ago. The Poles are happier than piss to be part of the E.U. & also NATO.
Let the Poles by their very lonesome take care of the Ukrainian problem. The Poles will be ruthless in their Russian regards. Putin will shit his panties. That will keep U.S. military costs in obeyance.

As far as China.. never ever back down! In addition to Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, keep a few NATO nation's ships on visits/ patrols to the Orient.
The West has a ton of supporting facilities everywhere in the world.

As it is, I found Biden & Trump weak & condescending in regards to display of American strength when it is needed the most. Throw in the problem of 'Trump, the Ignorant'.

The economies of NorthAmerica & Europe are the two healthiest economies in the world. Why not address that as something of U.S. national interest.
