Dee Jay, MRVC is little challenge to ASND right now, in my opinion. Nevertheless, I am intrigued by the timing of the Fibronics acquisition with all this talk of "advanced switches replacing routers" and "alternatives to ATM" going on. This is curiously timed with MRVCs recent patent filing on a deterministic networking algorithm which could challenge ATM. MRVC surprised everyone with early entries in the FE and GE market. Looking at the Ascend/Netstar acquisition and comparing it to the MRVC/Fibronics: Don't be surprised if CEO Noam Lotam harvests 300 million in mana from a desert seeded with 23 million. I challenge any company to match the 20km Gig Ether modules coming out soon (next month?) from MRVC. This is beyond Ascend's market, and probably 3Coms. Dan
