I watched the video on which the article was based, from start to finish. In it, a cop showed up and watched their Tesla video alongside the driver. When they were approaching the object in the middle of the lane he stated that it looked like a piece of paper in the road.

I think it would have been a problem, potentially, for any driver. However, it would be surprising to me after that incident gets around if Tesla doesn’t process the object as requiring it to be handled by the car. It is after rafter all a learning process.

But Electrec is so not to have something to kick Tesla about it, and no one over there really knows anything about these systems, they are simply cheerleading as far as I know.
