I think the article is correct. Thanks for posting it. Absorption is one issues, as is the refraction through the various layers and the scattering. Blue light is higher energy and scatters more etc. If a material could absorb all the light, then it would be black obviously. Sekesui offers films to make SPD and PDLC and EC black. I think cost is an issue b/c even for ferrari, they don't offer black SPD. if Gauzy has split the atom so to speak, it might make a big difference. I have no explanation for why corvette sells a $3k EC roof that is tiny and slower than SPD when they have experience with SPD. There are no contradictions, just wrong priors and I think that's probably the answer. Hopefully Gauzyu can solve it.
